Plain-English summary
- · We store your account info, clips, and analyses — that's what delivering your coaching requires.
- · We never sell your data, and there are no third-party ad trackers.
- · Stripe (on the web) or Apple (in the iOS app) handles payments; we never see your card number.
- · Want your data gone? Delete it yourself in the app — Profile → Delete account — and it happens immediately. Email support@coachvision.app if you can't sign in.
1. What we collect
Account data: your email address and name, plus preferences you set (like stance and goals).
Your clips and analyses: the videos you upload and the analyses generated from them — scores, measurements, coaching notes, and journal entries.
Usage data: first-party analytics only — which pages and features are used, so we can improve the product. When you pick a clip to upload we also record its length, file size and frame dimensions, whether our on-device framing check passed, and which step stopped an upload that never happened — so we can see where people get stuck. Never the clip itself or its filename. No third-party ad trackers, no cross-site tracking.
Cookies: besides the cookie that keeps you signed in, we set two first-party cookies: cv_anon, a random device id that lasts up to one year so we can count visits and connect a signup to the marketing link that brought you; and cv_attr, which remembers that link for 30 days. Neither contains your name or email, and both go only to our own servers — no third party reads them.
2. Where it lives
Video clips are stored in Cloudflare R2. Analyses, journal entries, and account data are stored in our Postgres database. Both exist for one reason: to deliver and re-show your coaching.
3. Payments
On the web, payments are processed by Stripe. In the iOS app, Pro is an in-app subscription billed by Apple through the App Store, and RevenueCat — our purchase infrastructure — relays the subscription status Apple reports so the app knows you're Pro. Your card details go directly to Stripe or Apple — we never see or store card numbers. We keep only what we need to manage your subscription (customer id, plan, billing status).
4. What we never do
We do not sell your data. We do not share your clips or analyses with advertisers or data brokers. Your videos are not public unless you create a share link yourself.
5. Service providers
A small set of providers process data on our behalf to run the service, and we would rather name them than gesture at them: Anthropic(its Claude models write your coaching text from your clip's measurements and up to ten still frames taken from it — never the full video), Stripe (payments on the web), Apple (payments in the iOS app, billed through the App Store), RevenueCat (relays App Store subscription status to us — it never sees your card), Cloudflare (DNS, plus video storage and delivery via R2), Railway (hosting for the application and our Postgres database), and Zoho (email — the support inbox and the emails we send you). Each receives only what its job requires.
6. Deleting your data
Open the app, go to Profile → Delete account, type DELETE, and it is done straight away — clips and their video files, analyses and their images, journal, streak, XP, share links and the account record itself. There is no grace period and no undo. If you can't sign in, email support@coachvision.app from your account address and we'll do it for you within 30 days.
Three things outlive the account, and we would rather name them than imply otherwise: Stripe keeps invoices and receipts where tax law requires it (and Apple keeps its own records of App Store purchases); emails you sent support stay in that inbox, along with the copy of the address, subject and opening lines our support tool keeps; and usage rows (a page was viewed, an analysis finished, which sport, what score, a clip's length and size when one was picked, which step stopped an upload) stay, with your account id replaced by a random one that names nobody.
7. Children
CoachVision is not for children under 13. Our Terms require you to be at least 13 (or the minimum age where you live), and we do not knowingly collect personal information — including video — from anyone younger.
We do not ask for a date of birth, so we do not verify anyone's age; we rely on that rule. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we delete the account and its clips. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has created an account, email support@coachvision.app with the account's email address and we will delete it.
8. Changes and contact
If this policy changes materially, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date. Questions about your data: support@coachvision.app.
